7 Meetup Groups match “Playing and Making Music” near Auckland, New Zealand
Meet and play music with other music enthusiasts. Players of all musical abilities are welcome. Anyone who can hit a percussive object, make a vocal sound, or dance can join in the fun! We will probably meet at a variety of places - in the wild outdoors of nature (around a campfire, on a beach, in a cave), and indoor venues. There may be some music performance parties, and overnight camping trips. A typical meetup will probably include some optional solo performances, and spontaneous group per …

All welcome! The purpose of this MeetUp group is to play non-amplified music (mostly guitar but if you got your mojo* workin' -bring it along!) in a relaxed and friendly setting. We try to meet once a month at a convenient location. Sometimes we have seven people, sometimes it's just me and my shadow (eek!) But let's play together and see what sort of fun we can get up to. Organ * I.e. uke, banjo, harp, flute, dijerido, vocal cords etc.
Are you Grade 5 or above in your instrument? Strings, Wind, Piano, all instruments welcome - we are a flexible chamber music group that plays every thing from Baroque to light "parlour" classical music. Many of our members are busy University students or parents, so there is no pressure to turn up consistently, but if you want to organize a meetup or group get together, this is the place …
Hi Everyone .... Let's get together for a night of great music and dancing. The style of music is Country and for all the South African's out there we will be playing Afrikaans music (Sokkie). Just show up and join in, you will love it. Meet new people and have a great night out. Look forward to meeting you at our first Social Dance at The Dairy Flat Community Hall on the 1st June 2013. We are hoping to do this every second Saturday.
The group aims to provide opportunities for like minded musicians to experience playing with other musicians, in a private setting. Some musical ability is required to be able to interract and participate in the jamming sessions. To keep numbers to a managable number and with limited space, the sessions are only open to musicians willing to play on the night. As an amateur performing group, and to encourage the flow of creativity, it is essential that we create and maintain a safe, friendly and …

The electrons in the molecules of rock formations have been spinning steadily for millions of years without stopping - at what point will you agree that they are in perpetual motion? So, why don't electrons run out of energy and just slow down to a standstill? Quantum Mechanics has shown that the universe is a seething cauldron of energy with particles popping into existence and then dropping out …
